The Huaulta magic mushroom is one of the most popular strains that comes out of Mexico. Although this mushroom is not large in size, its looks can be deceiving as it packs a punch.

This strain was one of the first mushrooms to be classified by R. Gordon Wasson in the famous LIFE Magazine article “Seeking the Magic Mushroom”. Because of this article, Psilocybin mushrooms gained popularity throughout Western cultures. Its name originates from the village of Huautla De Jiménez in Oaxaca, Mexico. This is where Wasson’s experience first took place.

In 1954 Gordon Wasson and Allan Richardson became the first Caucasians to participate in a mushroom ceremony, conducted under the guidance of Maria Sabina near the village of Huautla de Jimenez. Wasson and Richardson each consumed specimens of Psilocybe caerulescens var. mazatecorum.

While not large in size, the Huaulta Cubensis is quite potent. At even one gram, this mushroom can invoke some intense body sensations. At higher concentrations, users will experience shamanistic hallucinations.

Creative dose: 0.5 Grams to 1.25 Gram

Medium Recreational dose: 1.5 Grams to 2 Grams

Full Recreational dose: 2 Grams to 3.5 Grams
